We have been instructed on two new crime vacancies which have arisen with a large central London Legal 500 solicitors firm. Deadline on applying for these posts is the start of January. The work is all privately funded. The first is for a specialist financial crime solicitor and the second is for a general crime solicitor. Both are set at 3 years PQE and upwards. A small, high street solicitors firm in South Wimbledon are looking for a paralegal to join their housing law department. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 months experience in publicly funded housing law. This is a full time, permanent postion with the future possibility of a training contact for the sucessful candidate. Salary £13K per annum. Vacancy 15070.

An Ilford based firm of solicitors are looking for a conveyancing paralegal to join their busy property department. Ideally candidates should have at least 2 to 3 years practical, private practice experience in both commercial and residential property so they are able to complete tasks without the need for additional training. Additionally candidates must be proficient in using Microsoft Office & Outlook. Experience with a case management system (Osprey if possible) is desirable. This is full time, permanent position with a salary range of £15K to £17K per annum. Vacancy 15069.

An established and expanding solicitors firm in Castle Donington, Derbyshire are looking to recruit a locum solicitor, conveyancer or legal executive with excellent commercial property experience. The candidate ideally will have around 10+ years PQE, be a commercial property specialist with renewable energy experience and be able to work unsupervised. The work will be on an ad hoc and so it would suit people currently working in other locum positions or looking for part time or flexible work. The firm have work to give at the moment and further work will be on an ongoing basis. Home working is perfectly acceptable although attendance in the office is sometimes necessary and essential. However, the office is in a good position to be able to travel to. Candidates will be paid on a competitive hourly rate depending on experience. Vacancy 15067.

A permanent, part-time legal cashier/bookkeeper is required for a Hounslow based law firm for 2 days per week on either a self-employed or employed basis. Candidates must have experience of working in a criminal legal aid practice and must be proficient in using Alphalaw Vantage and familiar with SRA rules. Duties will include: Billing Clients; Paying Invoices; Banking; Inter Account transfers; Bank Reconciliations; Data Entry; Generating Financial Reports for Management from the case management system. A busy, medium sized, solicitors firm are looking for an experienced criminal duty solicitor on a salaried basis. The firm have 3 branches in Braintree, Colchester and Chelmsford. The candidate will need to be 5+ years PQE / call and be able to work unsupervised. The role will be for a locum, certainly initially, who will be paid hourly. The work will be intermittent and so it would suit people currently working in other locum positions. However, the firm have work to give.
