Family Solicitor with International Abduction experience, London or Sheffield

A new vacancy has arisen with a medium sized solicitors firm based in Sheffield and London, looking for a solicitor with experience of international child abduction law to join them.

They want someone who fits the criteria to be on the International Child Abduction (ICAU) Panel and this is as follows:

1. either a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel (Advanced), who has taken the Child Abduction and Wardship optional component or a Resolution Accredited Specialist who has successfully completed the Child Abduction Specialist Portfolio; and
2. be able to provide case summaries where they have acted or assisted in at least 2 incoming Hague return cases in the High Court (either for claimant or defendant) which have proceeded to final judgment. Any cases that are used to demonstrate how the firm meets the admission criteria should have been undertaken within the last 24 months.

You can work from their Sheffield offices or from London, provided you can travel up to Sheffield from time to time for management meetings.

The firm want someone to join for 12 months as a locum, or alternatively will recruit on a permanent basis. This is a specialist abduction and child care law firm of medium size and well established.
