A medium sized law firm with a completely remote working ethos are looking for a commercial property solicitor to join them for work on an ongoing basis. The practice specialises in one sector - healthcare - but they are looking for a solicitor able to demonstrate the ability to apply commercial law in a specialised field (not necessarily healthcare). There is a requirement for a minimum commitment of 7-10 hours per week, but preferably 14-20 hours. You will need to be able to work independently without secretarial support and work remotely as a consultant with the inevitable IT skills required. It goes without saying that you will need to be able to deal with transactions from inception through to completion. Experience working with professional clients (eg architects, doctors, accountants) would be useful.
 
Although the firm operate remotely, they do like to keep a team ethos going within the business, so they get all their consultants together for meetings and social events in the London or Surrey area.
 
This is a good opportunity to add work to an existing consultancy portfolio - this is ongoing work, not short term. The firm want someone able to offer a long term commitment. They will also want evidence of a strong background in a Legal 100 firm setting or equivalent in house or similar. Hourly rates usually work out to be somewhere around the £100 per hour mark.
