A law firm in Somerset are looking for a family locum to provide maternity leave cover on a full-time basis starting from the end of January 2025. This is a full-time position and the caseload will be a mix of legal aid and privately paid family law work - children, divorce, financial, FLA etc. It is essential that you are familiar and confident with legal aid systems/forms/processes for this one.
 
A lot of advocacy can be briefed to counsel if required but a willingness to do occasional hearings is desirable too.
 
The firm are happy with hybrid working and there is the scope to work remotely for up to 3-4 days per week. However, you will need to attend their offices in Bridgwater at least 1 day per week. The placement is expected to last for around 9 months.
