Vibrant and expanding law firm have an opening for a full time, permanent Litigation Handler within their Orpington office. The firm are looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual to work closely with a large motor insurer.

You will be responsible for running your own caseload of Fast Track cases. You will receive new claims from their insurer client which relate to both road traffic accidents and incidents involving damage to the insured vehicles by other means, such as fallen trees, animals, potholes, or contaminated fuel. The aim is to recover the insurer's money and any uninsured losses, back from the party at fault through Litigation. This may include claims for Credit hire, and you will be required to liaise with the Credit Hire provider when drafting and negotiating the claim.

You will run cases from the outset, draft proceedings and run the matter through the entire litigation process to trial.

To be successful in recovering this money you will be required to investigate the claim thoroughly and obtain all relevant evidence, including detailed witness statements and documentation in support of financial losses, by liaising closely with the insurer client, the policyholder, brokers, Barristers, Court and Defendant Solicitors.

You will need to adhere to strict court timetables and need experience in dealing with claims through the litigation process.
