A well-established highly-regarded Central London law firm are looking for a children's law locum to assist while they recruit permanently for the role. You will be assisting with cover during a number of staffing changes and the firm have estimated that the role could last for up to 8 months.
 
You will be responsible to the Head of the Family Department with experience in a wide range of family children law matters. The requirements of this role are:
 
·To be capable of covering all aspects of child work.
·To manage an active caseload dealing with a range of private and public children's cases, as well as supervising other members of the team.
·Knowledge and experience of the legal aid scheme including supervisory experience.
·Ideally at least 8 years qualified/equivalent experience.
·Children Law Accreditation Panel Membership is essential.
·Resolution accredited specialist in private and public law children and have the Law Society's Family Law advanced accreditation.
·Experience of cross border child abduction matters - membership of the International child abduction & contact unit (ICACU) desirable.
 
While the firm handle both private and public work, Legal Aid supervisory experience is essential for this role.
 
Full-time hours would be preferred although part-time will also be considered - this would need to be at least 3-4 days per week however. The firm are 50/50 hybrid/office-based - however, they are willing to be flexible on this as long as you are able to attend their offices at least 1 day per week. They are situated a 10-minute walk from Russell Square station.
