A law firm in Suffolk are looking for a locum or locums to help out starting as soon as you are able. This is likely to be for a period of approximately 6 months although this is subject to review depending on the firms requirements.
 
The current caseload comprises around 50 live files including:
 
·Civil litigation matters (including a variety of claims, possession proceedings and general civil disputes).
·Criminal matters, primarily police investigations.
·Employment matters, the majority of which are settlement agreements.
 
This will be a part-time role and you will ideally be available for a few hours each day to manage the existing caseload, deal with new enquiries as they arise, and provide continuity for the clients. There is a chance the hours will increase in the future should the department become busier again so flexibility in this respect would be an advantage.
 
The firm would ideally be looking for one locum to handle both the litigation and employment work on a hybrid working basis. If this is not feasible, they would consider both separate locums for the litigation and employment work as well as fully remote. However, priority will be given to candidates who can cover both areas and/or attend their offices.
