Two solicitors firms are looking to recruit now they have been awarded their LAA contracts for the following areas:

Firm 1 - Scarborough and York areas.
Firm 2 - Hull, Grimsby, Doncaster and Nottingham areas.

Job specification for post 1 as follows:

JOB TITLE: Criminal Duty Solicitor x3 (3 full time equivalent will consider employee or consultant)
PQE REQUIRED: Duty status
LOCATION: North Yorkshire
SALARY: Highly competitive for the right candidates
THE ROLE:
The firm is looking to enhance their criminal department with the addition of Criminal Duty Solicitors. The team provides unrivalled expertise in criminal defence matters. The applicant must be able to deal with cases right through to the trial stage.
THE CANDIDATE:
The Criminal Solicitor must have Duty Solicitor Status, based locally or willing to commit to the area and offer a proven background in criminal law. The practice covers the York and Scarborough rota however has a large private client base so own transport and full driving licence is essential.
THE FIRM:
The firm has an excellent reputation in this field and is continuing to expand into other areas including regulatory law, road traffic and private prosecutions. There is scope for career progression for the right candidate.

We don't have a job specification for post 2 but it is broadly the same..
