A very well respected West London firm (listed in the Chambers & Partners directory) is looking for a solicitor to work at their Acton office. This firm are experts in Immigration & Asylum, Public Law, civil claims for Unlawful Detention/False Imprisonment and Human Rights and are always at the forefront of legal developments in these fields with success at all levels, including before the Supreme Court.

The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor accredited to at least Senior Caseworker level under the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) with experience in providing immigration & asylum and public law advice under legal aid and on a private basis. Applicants must have knowledge of the full range of immigration, asylum and nationality issues that affect migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and be able to undertake the full range of immigration and asylum work, such as: asylum, human rights, appeals, Immigration Rules based applications, nationality and judicial review, including appeals to the Court of Appeal. Knowledge and experience of public law actions before the County Court/High Court including for unlawful detention/false imprisonment would be an advantage but is not essential. Supervisory Status is also desirable but not essential.

The role is full-time, permanent and salary levels will be 30k to 45k depending on experience and level of qualification.
