A technology firm in Oxfordshire are looking for a locum in house counsel to assist starting as soon as you are able for a period of at least 3 months with the possibility of the placement being extended to 6 months. This is a full-time role and while hybrid working is possible, you will need to be based at the firm's offices in Didcot for the first week or so and then on an ongoing basis every few weeks to meet with stakeholders and clients.  
 
The workload will include:
 
·Mostly non-contentious work although you should have the ability to brief on contentious matters as required
·Supporting grant bids (with experience in public and private funding)
·Drafting & reviewing R&D (innovation technology) collaboration and consortia contracts
·Commercial contract reviews
·Advising and navigating subsidy control around public funding
·General commercial legal advice
·Company structure
·Data protection and GDPR work
·Some occasional employment law advice
·Ad hoc legal advice
 
A background in technology, R&D or dealing with science projects/government funding would be very welcome.
