A very well established, specialist criminal law firm is looking for a duty solicitor to work out of their office based a 5 minute walk from Brixton Underground Station. Please note that the firm is happy for the successful candidate to carry out as much of the work as possible from home but obviously some office attendance is going to be necessary as well as police station attendance. Ideally looking to take someone on a permanent, salaried basis (full-time or part-time) with a salary around 40k plus £100 per police station attendance. Also happy to consider consultancy basis with a monthly retainer plus attractive percentage split.
Ideally the firm would like someone to start ASAP and would expect duty solicitors to transfer their agreement across when they start, so if the successful candidate starts for example in December, they would need to be prepared to move the contract across. Failing that, the next deadline is April 2024 and that is fine as well.
