An online wills company are looking for 2 locum solicitors to act as consultants on a remote working basis starting as soon as you are able.
 
The firm specialise in offering free wills to charity donors and are partnered with various charities in relation to this. As a consultant for the firm, you will be responsible for handling Zoom meetings with clients that occur after the basic will has been drafted. The firm have invested in technology that automates most of the process so you will essentially receive an appointment booking with instructions taken, will already drafted, issues for discussion identified, and an estimate of the eventual cost provided ready to close and complete. You will then spend an hour reviewing the matter and speaking with the client. All meetings are recorded and transcribed so minimal admin is involved.
 
In terms of rates, the firm work on the basis of a basic sum per appointment conducted plus a share in the fees generated from premium additions such as LPAs/trusts etc. There is no selling involved. The firm are not regulated by the SRA so this would be unregulated work - however, they have PII in place to provide cover.
 
The firm are currently preparing approximately 5,000 wills per year and are planning to increase this number significantly. At the present time, they are looking for 2 consultant solicitors to help out on a fully remote working basis. The appointments can be carried out around other commitments you may have and all work will be done via the firm's platform.
