Investment Funds Solicitor to £80k in central London

Funds services business looking for a Corporate Finance solicitor with real estate funding experience. Full time permanent role. The company provides fund administration, management, depositary and custody services to funds and other investment structures specialising in unlisted equity and real estate funds. This is a relatively small company compared to larger legal practices, with a work/life balance-friendly business style. There are 20 staff based in Mayfair. They want to recruit a full time, permanent solicitor which will be commercial (rather than purely legal), principally within the fund management arm but with some interaction across the business. The existing staff mainly have an accounting and/or compliance background and the company has a need for someone with a solid legal background to complement the team. The role will be part of the Senior Management Team but is not expected to be a Board position initially. Inevitably in a small business, the role will be fairly wide-ranging but will particularly involve: a review of fund constitutional documents, offering documents, agreements with clients, and investment documentation (including requiring numeracy in relation to equity and loan documentation); interaction with potential clients; and interaction with introducers (often lawyers in practice). Salary range is £60-80k plus package.
