Graduate Trainee
London, Greater London, England
£24k per year
Jonathan Fagan Business Brokers Limited are looking to recruit a (remote working) graduate trainee to join the business and become a business adviser & manager in due course. We are a fast growing company and part of the Ten Percent group of websites, and we specialise in the sale and purchase of law firms and accountancy practices in the UK. The company has plans to rapidly expand operations and we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us and grow with the company. The Ten Percent Group of websites was established in 2000 and includes legal recruitment, accountancy recruitment, transcription and translation services. We donate 10% of our net profits to charity, via the Ten Percent Foundation, hence our name.

This is a remote working role and would be ideally suited for someone looking to work from home in the longer term. We are looking for a graduate trainee - someone who has not yet decided on a career perhaps, and interested in joining an SME looking to rapidly grow. To start with, you will be closely working with our MD, but in due course you will be managing your own clients and providing advice & assistance to both sellers and buyers. Our company will strongly encourage you to progress your career within the business and we hope the successful person will stay with us in the long term and develop as we do.

The work will involve:

Research
Drafting valuation & exit advice reports
Preparing firms for sale
Handling queries from potential buyers
Conducting background checks on buyers
Liasing with sellers and buyers to organise meetings
Helping with negotiations
Assisting with advertising
Business development & growth work
Online marketing
Business administration

The role is very flexible - we are a small company & team - and we hope to immerse the successful applicant in every aspect of the business including management, finances, marketing and future business planning.

The job offers:

Full time equivalent hours
Starting salary of £24,000 (reviewed annually)
Flexible working (you choose your own hours)
Unlimited annual leave
Fully remote working
Training expenses paid
IT equipment provided including PC, laptop and mobile phone
Travel expenses paid (where required)

We are looking for:

A graduate - this is a graduate entry level role
We would prefer someone from a humanities background, but we will consider other disciplines
You must be UK based and have the right to work in the UK

Interested? Please send us a CV across, together with a covering email explaining why you want to work with us. Make it personal to us (why do you want to join our business and what can you offer us) and keep it objective (any descriptions of you as an enthusiastic, hard working, outgoing, personable person are all great, but don't really give us anything - what evidence is there that you are all of the above; this is the information we are interested in).

The recruitment process will be as follows:

We will shortlist and then ask you to complete a brief online questionnaire.

Stage 1 Telephone interview
Stage 2 Zoom meeting
Stage 3 Face to face meeting (any travel expenses will be paid and we will travel to you where possible)

We anticipate the start date for the role being the 1st March 2023, but we are flexible on this.

If you have any questions about the role, or would like an informal conversation regarding the work, the job, our company or queries relating to your own circumstances, please get in touch.
