Professional advisory company looking for in house commercial litigation assistance to defend a county court matter, probably valued at about 250k plus costs but less than 1 million. Relates to a dispute about historic costs. Proceedings have been issued and the case is due to be heard around April or May 2020. The company has been using external solicitors but is keen to take the matter in house and get assistance from a consultant solicitor to help them run the case in conjunction with external counsel. It is estimated that the case will take up about 10 hours a week on average but is quite ad hoc and can be fitted around other matters. You can work remotely or from their offices in Greater London. Some office work will be required of course. Start date is within the next two weeks.
