Medium sized solicitors firm in central Southampton seek a Legal Cashier for 12 months maternity leave cover, starting in May 2019. This is a well established law firm with practice areas including commercial property, residential conveyancing, private client and company commercial. Start date is flexible - may be slightly later or earlier. Duties will include: bank reconciliation, supplier payments, posting client and office transactions, setting up CHAPS and BACS payments, run accounts payable, client to office transfers, writing cheques and checking completion statements and petty cash transactions. The firm are looking for a legal cashier who is computer literate, gives full attention to detail, well organised, accurate, good numeracy and problem-solving skills, a good communicator and excellent knowledge of SRA rules. The firm require at least 2-3 years' experience; knowledge of LEAP and Xero accounting systems are advantageous. Firm located within walking distance of a train station (just about).

Hourly rate estimated as virtually impossible to give a range for legal cashiers - range is so varied! This could be someone looking for a salaried role for say £20-25k per annum. Similarly it could be a contractor seeking £25 per hour. All options considered. Part Time or Full Time considered.
